Membership Eligibility
- Membership is open to individuals 18 years or older who reside in South Africa.
- To join, customers can register either in-store or online, providing valid details. We will ask that you provide us with your name, surname, mobile number, email address and date of birth
- Online Registration - You will be prompted to join the loyalty program when you create or login to your customer profile on www.trappers.co.za
- In-store Registration - When checking out, the customer advisor will ask you if you would like to join the loyalty program and assist with filling out all required fields.
- The loyalty program is free to join, though data charges may apply if joining via mobile.
Tier Qualification & Spend Period
- Member tier (Explorer, Adventurer, Pioneer) is determined by annual spend
- Explorer: R0-R4 999
- Adventurer: R5000 - R14 999
- Pioneer: R15 000+
- Tier status is reviewed annually based on your total qualifying spend in the previous 12 months.
Earning Points & Spend Exclusions
- Points are earned on regular priced merchandise only; exclusions include gift card purchase, discounted promotional items and delivery charges. Points will not be earned on the portion of your purchase that's discounted using a loyalty voucher.
- Returned items will negatively affect point balances; in some cases, this may result in a negative balance.

Birthday Bonus
- Bonus is credited only once per membership year and is valid for 60 days from issue.
Point Redemption
- Points can be redeemed for vouchers against purchases.
- Vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash.
- Expiration rules apply—vouchers expire 60 days after awarded. Points earned do not expire.
- If a voucher is used and the purchase is refunded, only the cash portion is refunded back in cash—not the redeemed reward value. Point values used will be reversed however could result in a negative point balance.
Communication & Privacy
- Members agree to receive promotional communications (emails, SMS, app notifications). Communications may include new offers, competitions, and updates.
- You may opt out of marketing communications—but notifications about membership changes and birthday bonuses (which are transactional) will still be sent.
- Personal information is protected and processed in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). By joining, members consent to data processing for program administration and personalization.
Program Changes & Termination
- The program reserves the right to amend or discontinue "Adventure Rewards" at any time. Notice of such changes will be provided via email or the website.
- Members may be removed or have their benefits revoked at the company's discretion, especially in cases of misuse, fraudulent activity, or breach of Terms.
Dispute Resolution
- Any disputes arising from the program will be governed by South African law and, where applicable, referred to arbitration in accordance with the Arbitration Foundation of South Africa's rules.
- Decisions by the arbitrator are final and binding.
Competition Entrants
- From time to time, members may be entered into competitions or prize draws. Specific competition rules will accompany each campaign and prevail in the event of conflict.
Legal Notices
- These Terms do not seek to limit or circumscribe your statutory rights under consumer protection law.
- A current copy of the Terms will be available on our website and accessible via member communication channels.
